Job Purpose

Effectively manage Self-service / Channels systems administration, Monitoring, integrations, and support:

  • Implementation of new & Enhancements and 1&2 level support of all Channels systems and all Self-service customer facing systems.

  • Administration, maintenance, monitoring and providing 1&2 level support for Card Management Systems and it is related services, which includes:

    • ATM / POS Switch systems.

    • Integrations with National / Local & Regional Switches.

    • Integrations with International Card Payments schemes (Visa, MasterCard, CUP, etc.)

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and monitoring of the Digital Channel systems which include on call support.

  • Provide end-user support; investigate, troubleshoot, document, and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

  • Document and analyses technical specifications for changes and projects.

  • Review updates, test and implement changes and/or enhancements in compliance with the Change Management Policy.

  • Execute System integration testing and implementation of system upgrades, hotfixes, patch releases.

  • Participate in migration of systems to new ESB and integration testing during migration of Digital Channel systems.

  • Participating in integration testing projects with third parties.

  • Perform and ensure backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and maintain system backup to appropriate destination according to Bank Procedures.

  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.

  • Maintain card systems portfolio by monitoring the status and challenges of existing systems, on-going projects, and future/prospective projects.

  • Monitor / Support interfaces between CRDB Bank’s card systems and third-party vendors.

  • Support Alternative Banking Channels and E-Fraud on card related transactions.

  • Interact professionally with various business departments and Branches

  • Liaise with Alternative Banking Channels unit on new card business requirements

  • Perform integrations with card management systems

  • Participating in various projects which require integrations with Card Management Systems

Qualifications Required

  • Must be a citizen of Burundi.

  • At least undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant IT degree from a university with a reputable university.

  • ICT Service Management ITILv4 certifications.

  • 3 Years’ experience in working on a banking IT environment, preferably in Digital Channels systems.

  • Experience in issue analysis and resolution.

  • Experience and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced atmosphere.

  • Experience in managing Back up / Recovery processes and Systems / Business Continuity.

  • Knowledge on Oracle database management.

  • Operating System: Working knowledge of MS Windows and UNIX (HP-UX, Linux) Operating Systems.

  • Good understanding of network technologies .

  • Knowledge of Digital channels which includes ESB. Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Cards etc.

  • Knowledge of Open banking, Service Oriented Architecture and ESB
