Location: Arusha Tanzania
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Network and Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in fiber optic technologies and networking, with hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, Install, splice, and maintain fiber optic cables and networks.
Configure and manage network equipment including Cisco, Juniper, and Mikrotik devices.
Monitor network performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds.
Troubleshoot network issues and perform regular maintenance.
Document network configurations and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Proficiency in fiber optic technologies (e.g., OTDR, fusion splicing).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Mikrotik) and software tools.
Preferred Certifications(Added Advantage):
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT).
CompTIA Network+.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
