Job Summary
The Business Development and Technical Services Manager plays a crucial role at driving business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction through the provision of technical services and support. This position is responsible for identifying & profiling of major projects & contracts, researching prospective major accounts in target markets., pursuing leads and moving them through prospecting process to closing cycle. He/She will coordinate Technical Sales Team across Tanzania Mainland + Zanzibar.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Profiling & Prospecting of Key Projects
Ensure that Dangote Cement brand is reflected on Projects’ Bill of Quantity – BOQ
Ensure that Dangote Cement is used on identified Projects (shoot for high strike rate)
Joint Closing of Sales on identified Projects.
Ensuring that Project pipeline remains wet, always.
Prepare & present 2-3years Projects overview/horizon.
Supervise and coordinate technical sales service staff to ensure proper & timely resolution of company/client problems.
Provide hands-on training to Sales/Technical service staff to ensure a competent and effective workforce.
Liaise with Area Sales Managers and other departmental heads to develop tactical plans for joint project delivery.
Monitor, Mentor and motivate Corporate Sales staff to deliver timely and high-quality services to customers.
Present Monthly reports of work/Operations to company management
Recommend/advise appropriate products to Project Owners
Manage Block Makers & Stone Pavers Market Segment
Organize professional trainings on Concrete Application at Project Sites for Project participants.
Ensure technical operators comply with set HSE policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties as may assigned by Head of Sales and Marketing.
Requirements
BSc in Civil Engineering, Quantity Survey, Building Technology
10-15yrs of work experience
Experience in Building Construction, with some experiences in Key Account Sales, Marketing, or related field
Strong communication and IT skills
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft office suits and SAP applications.
Possesses knowledge of the Cement industry
Exhibits ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Speaks confidently and articulately in front of a group.
Demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively.
Possesses strong problem-solving skills.
Communicates clearly and effectively.
Pays close attention to detail.
Self – driven, self-motivated & a Team player.
Possesses strong writing skills.
Capable of conducting independent research
Demonstrates familiarity with budget analysis.
