1. Branch Accountant Interns

Job Summary:
BRAC Tanzania Finance Ltd is seeking competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to join as Branch Accountant Interns. This role involves financial management, reporting, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare vouchers, make payments, maintain registers, and prepare monthly reports.
  2. Ensure day-to-day updating of registers.
  3. Perform daily cash vs. bank reconciliation.
  4. Post and update the system daily.
  5. Review and correct errors identified during regular visits, ensuring the system matches documentation.
  6. Manage assets, including reconciliation, tagging, and physical verification.
  7. Support internal and external audits and respond to audit reports promptly.
  8. Ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in all activities.
  9. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate or diploma in Banking, Finance & Accountancy, or any equivalent field from a recognized university.
  • Fresh graduates with field practical/study experience or 1–2 years of experience in the microfinance industry or related programs.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship, accounting, income tax, and financial laws.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and web-related systems.

2. Community Organizer Interns

Job Summary:
BRAC Tanzania Finance Ltd is seeking competent, dynamic, and self-motivated female candidates to join as Community Organizer Interns. This role involves organizing and managing clients to facilitate transactions, contributing to portfolio development, and ensuring the implementation of safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and manage clients to facilitate transactions and contribute to branch portfolio development.
  2. Admit new clients according to targets and facilitate loan disbursement to ideal borrowers.
  3. Identify potential clients through surveys.
  4. Ensure installment collection on scheduled dates and work on overdue realization as per set targets.
  5. Execute tasks in compliance with regulations and circulars.
  6. Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  7. Ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in all activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Public Administration, Microfinance Management & Enterprise Development, or any equivalent field from a recognized university.
  • Fresh graduates with field practical/study experience or 1–2 years of experience in the microfinance industry or related programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Teamwork orientation.
  • Action and results-oriented with good time management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
