Tanzania has experienced significant economic growth in recent decades. While the poverty rate has declined, the absolute number of people living in poverty remains high due to population growth. Consequently, many children continue to face significant challenges, including violence, malnutrition, inadequate healthcare and education, and limited access to other essential services.
World Vision is dedicated to working alongside children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since our establishment in Tanzania in 1981, we have grown into one of the largest humanitarian and development organizations in the country, currently operating in 14 out of 33 regions across 41 districts.
Our goal is to contribute to a measurable and sustainable improvement in the well-being of 15 million girls and boys, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable. We engage donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to join us in this vital mission. We also embrace partnership and collaboration with individuals and institutions to achieve greater impact for children, families, and communities, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to a brighter future for vulnerable children.
