The Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is a leading health research organization based in Tanzania, with offices in Ifakara, Dar es Salaam, Ikwiriri, Bagamoyo, and Mtwara. Established in 1956 by Rudolf Geigy as a field laboratory of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, IHI has evolved into a prominent institution conducting extensive research in various health domains, including malaria and HIV/AIDS.
