Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation Tanzania (CCBRT) is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to providing specialized healthcare services in Tanzania. Founded in 1994, CCBRT initially focused on community-based rehabilitation and has since grown into the country’s largest provider of disability and rehabilitative services.
Operating in Dar es Salaam and Moshi, CCBRT is committed to improving healthcare accessibility, particularly for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. In 2022, the organization expanded its services by opening the Maternal and Newborn Wing, a purpose-built facility designed to enhance maternal healthcare in Dar es Salaam. This initiative aims to address affordability and accessibility challenges while prioritizing care for women in need, including former obstetric fistula patients, women with disabilities, and referrals from regional hospitals.
To ensure these critical services remain accessible, CCBRT actively engages in fundraising efforts to support its patients. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to inclusive healthcare, CCBRT continues to transform lives and strengthen healthcare systems across Tanzania.
