Job Summary

Dangote Cement is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join its team. The role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, installations, calibrations, and integration of various plant instrumentation equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of plant equipment.
  • Inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean, and calibrate instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Repair or replace control devices, including switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, and transmitters.
  • Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform minor programming of PLC control systems, frequency drives, and electrical equipment.
  • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Section Head/Engineers.

Education & Work Experience

  • Trade Test II + 16 years of related job experience or
  • Trade Test I + 8 years of related job experience or
  • OND (Ordinary National Diploma) + 5 years of related job experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of phase testers, multimeters, meggers, and other testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and technical drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Good interpersonal and networking abilities.
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools.
